What to do if I don't have a website?

Stripe is legally required as a payment processor to complete a KYC (Know Your Customer) survey for every account opened at Stripe. They normally ask for a business website to review (this could even be a Facebook or LinkedIn page describing the products and services you provide).

If your business does not have or require a website, you have two options: you can either update your web presence information directly in the Stripe Dashboard or get in touch with Stripe and provide the following information:

  • Detailed explanation of what you’re processing payments for through this Stripe account.

  • Your business model.

  • How are your customers discovering and purchasing your services.

  • Links to any social media pages (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, etc.), invoices, or relevant images of your goods and services; these will greatly expedite your review.
